Our Consumer Reference Group met again in July and provided feedback based on their personal experiences of preparing for and undertaking a hospital visit. The group highlighted the importance of the holistic patient journey and noted how several elements need to come together to ensure visiting the hospital is as streamlined and stress free as possible.
Feedback provided by consumers is integral in the formation of our consumer service models and provision of services and spaces within the hospital.
We would like to thank the members of our Consumer Reference Group who continue to generously share their time and personal experience to help us shape the future of the new Rouse Hill Hospital. |

We’re working with Project User Groups made up of expert clinicians who provide clinical and operational planning input and feedback on the design. The groups explore all aspects of internal, external, clinical and non-clinical spaces which help shape the layout of the services in the new hospital. |
Cross government agency consultation |
Precinct and inter-agency consultation, including across government, is also underway to help us plan and deliver the new Rouse Hill Hospital development in alignment with other local and State government infrastructure. Feedback received throughout this consultation will inform the Environmental Impact Statement. |

About the new Rouse Hill Hospital development |
The NSW Government has committed $700 million to build a new Rouse Hill Hospital on the corner of Commercial and Windsor Roads, to deliver a range of health services centred around the needs of the patient.
Western Sydney Local Health District has worked with a number of stakeholders to develop a Clinical Services Plan that reflects a hospital of the future, hard wiring innovations in health care delivery, sustainability and digital healthcare.
Extensive research and consultation has been undertaken to ensure the hospital has a patient-centred design, that can deliver a facility that is focused on the patient journey - from care in the home, through to acute care in a hospital ward. Detailed construction timeframes will be confirmed following further planning and design with health professionals and the community, and after a main works builder is appointed. |
